How to measure

Chest: measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under the arms, with the tape level across your back.
Waist: measure around your natural waistline, where you would normally wear your trousers.
Hips: stand with your feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips and seat.

Keep the tape snug, not tight. And if your measurements point to two different sizes, go by your usual size and how you like a piece to fit.

Itch comes from coarse fibers. Merino is much finer than ordinary wool, so it feels soft on bare skin. This one is 17.5 microns.

Any natural knit can pill a little where it rubs, under the arms or along the sides, mostly in the first weeks. A sweater comb lifts it off in a minute.

Less often than you think: merino resists odor, so airing it between wears is often enough. When it does need a wash, go cool, by hand or on a wool cycle, and lay it flat to dry in the shade. No bleach, no tumble dryer.

Fold it rather than hang it, so the shoulders keep their shape. Store it clean in a drawer or a breathable bag, with a little cedar if moths are a worry.

fits him well

Fit across his chest and shoulders is just right on him, not tight anywhere which he was happy about. Ive washed it twice already and it came out fine both times, no shrinking that i could tell.

Softer than expected

Didn't think a sweater could feel this soft and comfortable against the skin. No itch at all, even right against the neck. Burgundy color is nice and deep.

Darker than the photo

My office keeps the air conditioning pretty aggressive so I wear this most days over a dress shirt. Keeps me comfortable without looking too casual. I got the petrol blue and it looks a bit darker and more teal in person than it did on my screen, which I actually like better. The fit in the XL gives me room to move around at my desk and the zip stays put under a blazer for meetings. Really happy with this one.
